A benchmark works for the length it was measured on. Reading liners against a crew benchmark tells you nothing useful, so if you own both you need one of each — and that is exactly where the free tier stops.
The thing that saves the most bother, though, is the shelf: what you bought from whom, and where it landed. Next time the same length comes up you already have the answer.

What an allowance is not
An allowance is a measure of how much of the service you may use in the period it belongs to. It is not money, not stored value, not redeemable for cash, non-transferable, and it does not carry over. There are no credit packs and no top-ups: if you run out, you either wait for the period to roll or move up a tier.

No. Not approximately, not with a wide margin, not at all.
What we can tell you is what the word has been seen to span across the market — for “ankle”, anywhere from 5 to 12 cm above the heel, which is the difference between just clearing the ankle bone and reaching halfway up the calf. That is a genuinely useful thing to know before you buy, and it is not the same thing as an answer.
The right next step is to ask them: “What is the flat measurement from the top of the heel to the top of the cuff?” Most sellers can answer in a line. Inventing a figure that looks settled would be far more likely to make you buy the wrong pair than admitting we do not have one.
