Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at level AA. We test rather than assume: the contrast ratio of every text colour against every background it is used on is computed in scripts/contrast.mjs and the measured figures are written at the top of the stylesheet.

Body text runs at 12.44:1 on the page ground and 13.93:1 on a card. Secondary text runs at 4.67:1 and 5.23:1. The colours that mark measurements — brass, sage, fog and the graduation tan — are used as marks, bands and fills only, and never carry type, because none of them reaches 4.5:1 against the ground.

Your benchmark is a brass slide, their estimate is a sage band, and “no measurement given” is a hatched fog field with a hard border. Those three differ in shape, texture and border as well as in colour, and every one of them carries a text label stating what it is.

Every two-scale comparison has a plain-text equivalent giving both figures and the difference between them, available from a control on the reading itself and included in what a screen reader announces.

Everything works from a keyboard. A skip link is the first focusable element on every page. Focus is visible at 2px against the ink colour, never removed. Headings run in order, landmarks are labelled, and every control has a name that says what it does rather than what it looks like.

Expanding sections announce their state. Numerals are set in a face with tabular figures so that 1, 7 and 0 are clearly distinguishable and two readings line up digit over digit.

Animation is limited to a slide travelling a rule while a reading loads, and it stops entirely under prefers-reduced-motion. Nothing flashes, nothing autoplays, and there is no video on this site.

Text reflows to 320px without horizontal scrolling and takes 200% zoom without loss. Every reading prints cleanly, with the plain-text form included.

Reading a figure off a photograph of a tape is a visual task, and a photograph taken without sight of the frame may not be legible enough for it. You can always type the figure instead — that route needs no photograph at all and is the primary path, not a fallback.
