Acceptable use
Six things, all of which follow from what this tool is for.
Last updated 5 September 2026
01What this covers
This policy says what Uptowhere may be used for. Breaking it can lead to an account being suspended or closed, in which case we refund the unused part of any paid period. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
02Do not upload people
Do not attempt to upload photographs of legs, of feet, or of anyone wearing anything, and do not attempt to upload a photograph of a person in any other form. The two upload slots take a sock laid flat on a surface and a screenshot of a size chart, and no other upload facility exists.
Do not upload anything you have no right to use, anything unlawful, or anything that would identify somebody who has not agreed to it.
03Do not use the output as a quality claim
Do not present a reading from this service as evidence in a return, a refund request, a complaint, a chargeback, a claim, or any other quality claim against a seller or a maker.
Our figures are estimates given as ranges. A reading is not evidence: it is not a measurement of the goods you received, and a length differing from expectation does not ordinarily constitute a defect. Whatever rights you have against the person who sold you the goods are yours entirely and are unaffected by this restriction.
04Do not use it to attack a brand
Do not use this service, or anything it produces, to allege that a maker has described its goods wrongly, to publish a ranking or review of makers, or to build a comparison-shopping or price-comparison service.
Length naming has never been standardised. That is the state of the trade, not any brand’s fault, and this service exists to convert between lengths rather than to arbitrate between companies.
05Do not use it for consequential decisions
Do not use this service for any medical, legal, financial, safety, employment, credit, housing or judicial purpose, or in any situation where being wrong about a few centimetres of knitted fabric would matter to someone’s health, liberty or livelihood.
06Do not abuse the service itself
No scraping, no automated bulk access outside a documented interface, no attempt to break authentication or reach another account, no reselling access, and nothing designed to interfere with the service working for other people.
Do not share an account. Each subscription is for one person, and an allowance is not transferable.
07Reporting something
If you see the service being used against this policy, write to support@socksnob.shop. We look at every report and reply. The full terms set out what happens next.
